Beats Clinique, Hourglass, and nameless other expensive brands,
I’ve tried EVERY type of expensive foundation (suckered by their claims and thinking you get what you pay for).
I have very oily skin in some areas and very dry in others so it’s often hard to find a foundation that can address both issues without breaking me out. Also, I’m pretty fair in complextion so it’s hard to find something light enough that doesn’t make me look pasty white OR make me look like I’m tanning.
The Maybelline Dream Liquid reminds me most of the Clinique Superfit in texture and consistency with a few HUGE improvements: (i) the Maybelline finish gives a flawless look minimizing pores and creating an even look while the Clinique Superfit finish does nothing to minimize pores and the skin tone still looks uneven; (ii) the Classic Ivory Maybelline (the second lightest they offer) appeared a bit darker than expected coming out of the bottle, actually blended very well with my skintone while the lightest of the Superfit made me look like I was auditioning to be on the Jersey Shore; and (iii) the Maybelline is $10.00 a bottle and the Clinique is $22.00 a bottle.
I won’t even get into the comparison of the Maybelline against the Hourglass Mineral Veil ($50.00 a bottle people!). Needless to say it kicked Hourglass in the behind and I have a cool $40.00 left over after returning that overpriced dreck!
I recommend the Maybelline Dream Liquid to anyone with normal to very oily skin with dry patches. It does not accentuate dry patches like other foundation tailored to oily skin which is another big win!

|I’ve tried them all…This WINS!!!,
I am 31 years old, and I have tried just about every foundation out there over the years. Between my Mother and I, we also try new products when they come out. I could estimate trying over 100 brands, at least. Maybelline Liquid Dream Mousse is the absolute best foundation I have ever used, expensive brands included. So many foundations make me break out, but this one seems to make my skin BETTER. Coverage is great – even if I am broken out (I live in the South, and this tends to happen when I’m sweating in the summertime). One quick application covers A LOT, yet does not feel or look “caked”. It’s just an all-around great product. I want to start stocking up on it, for fear that they would ever discontinue it, and I would be forced to use something else and go back to the roller-coaster of skin issues. I love, love, love this product and cannot say enough good things about it. You won’t regret buying it, and you’ll become a believer as well!
I set the foundation with Maybelline Shine Free loose powder in “Light”, and carry Maybelline Shine Pressed Powder in my purse. GREAT combo for smooth, pretty, shine-free skin.

|Great Product,
I have tried them all – and for the money and effect this is a wonderful product. Smooth and pore minimizing. This is all I have used for 2-3 years now.
